STUDIO POLICIES
To ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and professional care, we operate under a strict set of studio policies. These guidelines are in place to protect both our clients and our team, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for everyone visiting our studio.
BOOKING & CANCELLATIONS
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, if the deposit is not paid 24 hours prior to your appointment, the appointment will be cancelled.
- We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or to reschedule your appointment slot. If sufficient notice is not given, you consent to losing your deposit.
- We allow a 15-minute lateness window, if lateness exceeds this, your appointment will be cancelled or rescheduled, and your deposit will be lost. This is out of courtesy for our studio and subsequent clients.
- If you are unable to pre-empt lateness/needing to cancel, please contact our piercer directly, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- No-shows or same day cancellations will result in 100% of the appointment value being charged to your card stored on the system.
AGE & CONSENT
To maintain professional standards, follow our insurance requirements, and comply with local regulations, we strictly adhere to the following age requirements for all piercing services.
- Ear Lobe Piercings: Minimum age 8+ (Guardian required)
- Most Ear Piercings, Nostril Piercings, Septum Piercings: Minimum age 14+ (Guardian required)
- Industrial Piercing, Eyebrow Piercings, Navel Piercings, Lip Piercings: 16+ (Guardian required)
- Bridge Piercing, Tongue Piercing, Nipple Piercings: 18+ ONLY
Physical Photo ID Required: A physical Passport, Driving License, or PASS card must be presented. For under 16s, ID is required for both the child having the piercing and the guardian. Children require the birth certificate/passport, guardians physical photo ID. If surnames do not match, proof of guardianship is required; adoption certificate, birth certificate with correct name signed, deed poll etc.
No ID. No Piercing.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Your wellbeing is our priority. We maintain a clinical environment that exceeds standard requirements to ensure every piercing is performed safely and professionally.
- UKAPP STANDARDS: We strictly follow UKAPP guidelines for hygiene, sterilization, and jewellery quality.
- SINGLE-USE ONLY: Every piercing uses a precision-ground piercing blade needle, sealed and sterilized. We do NOT use guns.
- HEALTH DISCLOSURES: Clients must disclose medical conditions or allergies; we cannot pierce during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- SOBRIETY POLICY: We maintain a strict no-alcohol policy to ensure safe procedures and valid consent. Please ensure you do not drink alcohol or consume recreational drugs 24 hours prior to or on the day of your appointment.
- NUMBING CREAM: We ask you do NOT apply any numbing creams or sprays before your appointment. The ingredients in numbing products can cause severe harm during the piercing process and affect healing. If you arrive with any numbing products, we will refuse service and you will lose your appointment and deposit.
Jewellery & Aftercare Policies
To ensure the safety and longevity of your piercings, we follow strict clinical guidelines regarding jewellery materials and healing protocols. Our curated selection meets all UKAPP standards.
Materials
We exclusively stock implant-grade Titanium ASTM-F136 and 14-18ct Solid Gold. These high-grade materials are biocompatible, hand-polished to a mirror finish, and essential for a successful, irritation-free healing journey.
Outside Jewellery
No outside jewellery is permitted for initial piercings or jewellery changes. For your safety, we can only install jewellery purchased from our studio, as we can guarantee the jewellery is safe to be professionally sterilised and installed.
Downsizing
Downsizing is a vital part of piercing aftercare. Between 4-8 weeks post-piercing, initial long posts must be swapped for shorter ones to prevent irritation and migration. This essential follow-up ensures your piercing sits correctly and heals as best as possible. Downsizing is £20.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure jewellery remains tight after their appointment. Any jewellery lost after leaving the studio is not the piercer's fault and the client must take measures to ensure jewellery remains intact.
PRICING & PAYMENTS
- All services and fine jewellery items are priced in Great British Pounds (£).
- Our piercing fees cover the professional procedure and a standard ASTM F-136 titanium initial flat-back or barbell post and ends. Decorative ends and luxury jewellery upgrades are sold separately and are not included in the procedure fee.
- We accept all major Credit and Debit cards, cash, and bank transfers.
- All prices are openly discussed before we go ahead with the piercing, no hidden fees.
- A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 48 hours' notice.
PRIVACY
Information collected via Phorest for booking and insurance purposes only. We never sell your data to third-party marketing firms. Our studio adheres to strict professional standards for client confidentiality.
- Clinical Safety: Personal and medical history records are maintained solely to ensure your safety during procedures and for UK insurance compliance.
- Data Handling: All information provided through our booking systems is stored securely and accessed only by studio colleagues.
- Electronic Communications: We use your contact details to provide appointment confirmations, booking reminders, and essential continuous care instructions via Fresha.
- Data Rights: You have the right to review, update, or request the secure disposal of your records at any time by contacting us via email.
We strive to maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all our clients and staff. Please respect the following guidelines during your visit to our studio:
• Zero Tolerance: We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behaviour of any kind.
• Guest Policy: To ensure a focused and calm clinical environment, we maintain a one-guest limit per client. Under 16s require a guardian present with them.
• Digital Courtesy: We kindly ask that all visitors ask before taking photos/filming, out of courtesy. Our piercer reserves the right to refuse being filmed while working.
• Professional Space: Respect for our artists, their tools, and the studio workspace is essential for maintaining our high standards of piercing excellence.
